This estimate is to help you calculate the approximate net amount due from the sale of your property. These figures may change depending upon other unknown circumstances (i.e., 2nd mortgages, liens, etc.).
The closing attorney will provide Sellers with the final figures in the HUD Settlement Sheet, usually delivered the day prior to closing. Also, a closing attorney will require specific information from you such as your mortgage company’s name and account number(s), your social security number, and who will be preparing the deed, etc.
Adjustments are made at the closing for real estate taxes, water, sewer and, when applicable, fuel.
